Cook Time: 30-40
Servings: 10

2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cup sour cream
1 can of condensed milk
1,5 cup unbleached white flour
1 tea spoon soda
2 table spoon of instant coffee
1 can whole cranberry sause

The main recipe of Zebra cake usually requires cocoa powder for middle layer. I did not have cocoa, so I’ve tried to use an instant coffee.

Whisk eggs with 1 cup of sugar, add 1 cup of sour cream, half of condensed milk, soda and flour.
Mix well.  Divide batter evenly in two parts.

In one of them add coffee and stir well.

Lightly oil and sprinkle with flour the baking form.
With  table spoon alternate light and dark batter into the baking form, creating zebra look.

Bake it in the oven at 350 degree for 30-35 minute. Check for readiness with a wooden stick.
Inserted wooden stick must come out dry.

In separate bowl beet together remained sour cream, half of condensed milk and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Cover the top of the cake.

Decorate with whole cranberry sause.

Serve with coffee or tea.

Welcome To My Blog!

Hi, my name is Olga.  I would like to welcome you to my site.

I created it first of all, to save my family’s recipes and then to share them with my friends and those who have tasted some Russian/Ukrainian food and liked it. But I also would like to introduce it to those who haven’t yet, but would like to.

I will try to keep my recipes simple, but there are few that might require more prep time or ingredients for preparation. You will also find some of my family’s favorite American recipes here and other international cuisines.

I thank you for visiting my site. I hope you will fall in love with Russian/Ukrainian food and will come back again.
