Spring Cabbage Salad

1/2 medium cabbage shredded
1/2 red bell pepper sliced
1/2 english cucumber sliced
2 table spoons dill minced
1 clove of garlic minced
1/2 tea spoon of salt
1 table spoon of sugar
1/2 table spoons of olive oil
Juice from half of lemon

I always add some sugar and lemon juice to this salad. They add a special flavor to it. I also like to add half of chopped apple, which I did not have this time. More sugar and lemon juice will only make it better, to my opinion.


Shred the cabbage.


Cut cucumber and red pepper.


First of all: season cabbage with salt and with clean hands mix it, slightly squeezing with your fingers.


Then add red pepper, cucumbers, minced garlic and dill.


Sprinkle with lemon juice, add sugar and oil.  Add more salt if needed.

Serve salad with baked potato or just a barbecued meat.
