I remember this macaroni salad from my childhood.
Cook macaroni or pasta in a 2 quart saucepan in a lightly salted water, for about 20 minutes or until tender. (refer to the instruction on the package)
In small pan cook eggs for 12 minutes. Immediately transfer them into cold water. Let them cool completely, then peel and dice.
Drain cooked macaroni or pasta.
Melt the butter in microwave for 5-7 seconds and stir into macaroni and mix them.
In a serving bowl, toss together macaroni, drained from the liquid cottage cheese, and eggs.
You can serve this dish with your favorite savory sauce.
Or you can make it sweet, adding some sugar and serve with sweet syrup as well.
