Cook Time: 20
Servings: 4-5

Ingredients:

2 cups of broccoli florets
broccoli stems (optional)
1/2 lb bacon
1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup red onion diced

For dressing:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 table spoon lemon juice
1/2 tea spoon horseradish
1 table spoon honey

Every time I make this salad for some gathering, people ask me for the recipe.
You can make it a part of your diet.
Some ingredients can be substituted, like raisins can be replaced with cranberry and sunflower seed with crushed walnuts. You may also try to use coleslaw dressing.

To make crumbled bacon: Dice bacon and cook it to brown in lightly oiled skillet, (otherwise bacon will stick to the bottom of skillet).

Place bacon on the paper towel to drain excess of fat.
Can be replaced with crumbled bacon bought at Supermarket.

Cut broccoli florets to the bite size and shred the stems. Dice the onion.

In the big bowl toss together broccoli, onion, bacon, raisins and sunflower seeds.

Welcome To My Blog!

Hi, my name is Olga.  I would like to welcome you to my site.

I created it first of all, to save my family’s recipes and then to share them with my friends and those who have tasted some Russian/Ukrainian food and liked it. But I also would like to introduce it to those who haven’t yet, but would like to.

I will try to keep my recipes simple, but there are few that might require more prep time or ingredients for preparation. You will also find some of my family’s favorite American recipes here and other international cuisines.

I thank you for visiting my site. I hope you will fall in love with Russian/Ukrainian food and will come back again.
