Muffin Dough:
2 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 egg
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of sour cream
1/4 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 cups of frozen washed blueberries

Streusel Crumb Topping:
1/4 cup of flour
1/4 cup of sugar
1 table spoons of salted butter

This is another one of our famous recipes, the blueberry muffins are not your average ones you would think of, these are fluffy and airy and delicious! The crumble on the top is the cherry on top.

To make these blueberry muffins, start with a big bowl and add 2 cups of flour to it. Then add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Use a whisk to mix all the dry ingredients together well.

In another bowl, beat 1 egg and 3/4 cups of sugar until it is fluffy. To this mixture add 3/4 cups of sour cream, 1/4 cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix it so it is all smooth and mixed well.

Add half of the dry ingredients mixture into the wet ingredients bowl and mix until smooth. Then add the rest of the dry ingredients mix into it and mix until it is mixed well.

Add 2 cups of frozen blueberries to the mix and fold carefully, not to damage or squish the blueberries. it is important that the blueberries are frozen. This lets the blueberries hold their shape instead of being all smooshed into the muffin.

When buying frozen blueberries, make sure it says on the packaging that the berries have been washed.

Add a muffin liner to each cup in your muffin pan and then fill each muffin lines with your muffin dough.

Preheat your oven to 375F and now its time to make the streusel crumb topping.

For the streusel crumb topping you will need to add 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of flour into a mixing bowl.

Microwave a 2 table spoons of butter for about 30 seconds to melt it. Add the melted butter to the bowl of sugar and flour. Mix this with your fingers and then add the crumble to the top of each muffin. Divide it evenly for all the muffins and press the crumble into the top of each muffin.

Don’t press it too hard, but to just make sure it sticks to the muffin dough.

Bake the muffins about 30 minutes until they are golden. Insert a toothpick into the middle of the muffin and pull it out to check if they are done inside. If the toothpick comes out clean, this means they are done. If it comes out with some dough on it, bake for another 5 minutes and check again.

Let the muffins cool in the muffin pan for about 10 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack. Let them cool down for another 20 minutes before serving.
