Cabbage with Italian Sausage

Ingredients:

1/2 cabbage
1/2 pound of mild Italian sausage
1 carrot
1 onion
3-4 table spoons of tomato sause
3-6 table spoons of olive oil

Cabbage cooked with meet and tomato sauce is one of few popular dishes on the Russian/Ukranian family table.
Beef ground meet is generally used. I’ve used a mild italian sausage this time.

This recipe requires: 0,5 pounds of ground italian sousage; 1/2 head of cabbage shredded; 1-2 shredded carrots; 1 onion sliced and cut in quarters; 3-4 table spoons of tomato sauce and 4-5 table spoon of oil.

On medium heat cook italian sausage, constantly braking it with spatula or fork, until it is evenly cooked through.

In separate skillet with couple table spoons of oil cook onion and carrots.

Add cabbage to the cooked meet.

Place carrot and onion over the cabbage.

Sprincle with salt and pepper and add tomato sause on top.

Cover with a lid and cook, stir it periodically.

Your cabbage will be ready in 30-40 minutes.
